Murder Mystery of the Dead Anime To Premiere on November 13
Murder Mystery of the Dead, an original anime inspired by murder mystery games, will premiere in Japan on November 13 JST. A visual and trailer have been released.
As hinted by the title, Murder Mystery of the Dead has some zombie involvement, with the anime taking place after the world has gone to hell from a zombie pandemic. Protagonist Mikoto Amano is an amnesiac who is under the care of six other girls, but their peaceful days are shattered when a boy, who was also being sheltered, is killed.
Tomohiro Ishii is directing the anime with novelist/game writer Giguru Akiguchi (The Murder at Cthulhu Manor game designer, Hachigatsu no Time Machine co-game writer) as series composer and Teren Mikami (There’s No Freaking Way I’ll be Your Lover! Unless… author) as screenwriter. Akiguchi and Hideki Morikawa (My Darling is a Time Traveler author, Hachigatsu no Time Machine co-game writer) are credited with the drafts.
Meanwhile, the cast includes Moe Kahara as Mikoto, Lynn as Ranna Kuze, Kiyono Yasuno as Fumika Shinohara, Madoka Asahina as Rumina, Maki Kawase as Fumika Shinohara, Tsubaki Makino as Riri Aramama, and Hikaru Tono as Rumurumu.
