More on this storyline
As for da Silva, he averaged 16 points and made 39.5% of his three-pointers as a second-team all-Pac 12 honoree as a senior. He also averaged 5.1 rebounds, 2.4 assists and 1.1 steals. The three-year starter is a suitable option as the Sixers are expected to part ways with Tobias Harris in free agency. And though he needs to work on his rebounding, a league scout believes da Silva could become a solid scorer. The scout also thinks da Silva is a better ball handler and passer than Harris, while their defense is “about the same.” -via The Philadelphia Inquirer / June 14, 2024
One can say whatever they feel about Tobias Harris, and criticize certain moments and such, but one can’t question his toughness and willingness to do whatever was asked of him and sacrifice for the good of the team. Unfortunately, things haven’t worked out and it would be best if both sides moved on. Harris will get a change of scenery and the Sixers will move forward on their side of things. -via Sixers Wire / May 26, 2024
To make it clear, Harris is a good player. A very good player who will help any team in the league. He’s not only productive, but he’s also a terrific leader. However, when considering how much money he was making while with the Sixers, much more was expected of him. -via Sixers Wire / May 26, 2024
