Naoki Urasawa Draws New Illustration for 30th Anniversary of Manga Barcelona Convention
Manga artist Naoki Urasawa has drawn a new illustration for the upcoming Manga Barcelona convention, which will take place in Barcelona, Spain at the Fira de Barcelona from December 5, 2024 to December 8, 2024.
The visual showcases several characters from Urasawa’s past works.

Urasawa will serve as the convention’s guest of honor in celebration of the event’s 30th anniversary since it first began on October 27, 1995. He is best known for several manga series such as Monster, 20th Century Boys, Master Keaton, and Pluto, which recently received an ONA adaptation in 2023.
Some of the manga, anime, and musical guests of note attending this year’s Manga Barcelona include:

• Aka Akasaka (OSHI NO KO, Kaguya-sama: Love is War)
• Mengo Yokoyari (OSHI NO KO, Scum’s Wish)
• Yuki Tabata (Black Clover)
• Shinichi Ishizuka (Blue Giant)
• Hiroshi Nagahama (Uzumaki anime director)
• Sunghoo Park (Jujutsu Kaisen season one director, Ninja Kamui)
• Burnout Syndromes
