What happens in the Emily in Paris Season 4 Part 2 trailer?
The trailer begins with Emily and Gabriel (Lucas Bravo) enjoying a sweet moment together, following the dramatic events of Part 1. But from there, the two-minute trailer quickly establishes the stakes of the upcoming episodes, like how Emily is not quite yet comfortable with the fact that Gabriel has a previous relationship with another woman. She says that she doesn’t want to be the woman that pulls him away from his family.
But whether or not Gabriel and Emily can work through their hurdles, other problems arise. There’s a new American girl at work, Genevive (played by Thalia Benson). Even though the two girls bond at first, to the annoyance of their boss, Emily and Mindy (Ashley Park) see Genevive having what looks like an intimate dinner with Gabriel. They wonder if they can trust her.
But the main thrust of the Emily in Paris Season 4 Part 2 trailer is to highlight Emily’s potentially brewing romance in Rome with Marcello (Eugenio Franceschini). He later asks her whether she prefers Rome to Paris. The trailer ends with a scene of Mindy teasing her friend, noting that Emily has been romantically involved with a British guy, a French guy, and now, potentially, an Italian. “You’re really stamping your passport, huh,” Mindy remarks.
In terms of whether Emily in Paris Season 5 will happen, Collins recently struck an uncertain tone. But she added that she would like the Netflix series to continue its globe-trotting bent and unfold in Tokyo.
Along with Collins, Bravo, and Park, the cast of Emily in Paris includes Philippine Leroy-Beaulieu (Sylvie Grateau), Camille Razat (Camille), Samuel Arnold (Julien), Bruno Gouery (Luc), William Abadie (Antoine Lambert), and Lucien Laviscount (Alfie).
Emily in Paris is created, written, and executive produced by Darren Star, who created shows like Melrose Place and Sex and the City. Tony Hernandez, Lilly Burns, Andrew Fleming, Alison Brown, Robin Schif executive produce, with Stephen Brown, Grant Sloss, and Joe Murphy as co-EPs. Collins, meanwhile, produces Ryan McCormick, Raphaël Benoliel, and Jake Fuller. It’s produced by MTV Entertainment Studios, Jax Media, and Darren Star Productions.
The official synopsis reads: “After the dramatic events of Camille and Gabriel’s misbegotten wedding, Emily is reeling: She has strong feelings for two men, but now Gabriel’s expecting a baby with his ex, and Alfie’s worst fears about her and Gabriel have been confirmed. At work, Sylvie is forced to confront a thorny dilemma from her past for the sake of her marriage, and the Agence Grateau team navigates personnel shakeups. Mindy and the band prepare for Eurovision, but when funds run dry, they’re forced to get thrifty. Emily and Gabriel’s chemistry is undeniable as they work together towards a Michelin star, but two big secrets threaten to undo everything they’ve dreamed of. As old patterns clash with new complications, Emily feels drawn to a potential new love interest… and a new city.”
