Tyrese Haliburton expects to be recovered from hamstring injury before joining Team USA

Tyrese Haliburton said Friday his recovery from a hamstring injury is progressing well, and he expects to be good to go by the time he has to report to Las Vegas for training for the Paris Olympics. “The hamstring is good,” the Pacers All-Star point guard said Friday at the unveiling of the re-designed courts at 30th Street and Fall Creek Parkway. “… Today I ran for the first time full speed. I got another three weeks before USA. I feel good. I’m really excited to get out there and do that.”Source: Indianapolis Star

More on this storyline
“I would love to play in as many Olympics as I can until the wheels fall off,” Haliburton said. “But obviously I don’t want to take this for granted, to be able to do this. You look at our roster, it’s unbelievable. A ton of Hall-of-Fame guys, great guys who have really cemented themselves, been a major part of our game over the last 10-20 years. To be a part of that is amazing. I was just really hoping that I’d make the team just to be a part of it, just to be with those guys. I think these are stories that are gonna be told forever like the great USA teams of the past. I’m just really excited to be a part of it.” -via Indianapolis Star / June 14, 2024
