In the first quarter of the game, with 3:15 still on the clock, Clark sustained an ankle injury and laid down on the court. Her teammates were quick to come and check on her while she held her left ankle in pain. The team training staff then helped her off the court and on the bench. But she was determined to carry on and returned to the court in the second quarter.
Indiana Fever emerged victorious over Atlanta Dream in an 84-79 win, with Clark securing 19 points. In the post-match press conference, Clark told reporters, “I saw the replay, and I look really soft. It wasn’t that bad of a turn, but it hurt.” She continued by mentioning that despite spraining her ankle, she needed to give herself a second and then wanted to get back to playing. “You’re not a real basketball player if you haven’t sprained your ankles a bunch. That’s when you know,” she added.

Even after her injury, Clark returned to play in the second quarter, actively contributing to her team’s victory. Additionally, she shot 4-for-9 from 3-point range as she tied the WNBA rookie record for most 3’s. Hence, it seems quite likely that she will continue playing with her team.
