Skate Trailer Features Tim Robinson, EA Reveals New Gameplay Details

During Summer Game Fest, a new Skate trailer premiered featuring actor and comedian Tim Robinson, and now a full-length trailer and more gameplay details have come out.
The trailer shown off during Summer Game Fest featured Robinson as the head of M-Corp, a mysterious corporation featured in the world of Skate. Centered in the city of San Vansterdam, M-Corp seems hellbent on stopping skaters from exploring the world via boards, even while the company is suffering from a bunch of problems.
Skate currently has no release information, but is set to have a playtest session soon.
Check out the new Skate trailer below:

What are the new Skate gameplay details?
Alongside the new Skate trailer, Electronic Arts also released a new dev diary on their blog, breaking down some of what fans can expect in Skate. In the upcoming game, gameplay has been completely redesigned, with “Flick-It,” the control system in Skate, undergoing a massive overhaul.
According to EA, the goal with Skate’s gameplay is to make players feel like every trick feels “fun and satisfying,” while also feeling just as familiar as it has in past games. Character customization will also be a big factor, with different body types, hair, clothes, board style, and more able to be changed.
EA also touched briefly on the world of San Vansterdam, hinting that the city will continue to undergo updates throughout the game’s history. Players will also be able to find rewards in “almost everything” they do in the game, which will help unlock more for character tweaks, as well as new places to skate in the city.
