Cat Deeley’s £119 pleated midi skirt is a hit with shoppers – but River Island’s lookalike costs £89 less
CAT Deeley had shoppers rushing to Phase Eight this week to pick up her stylish pleated skirt.
The 47-year-old debuted the springtime look on Monday’s episode of This Morning, and River Island has a £30 lookalike.

Looking perfectly put-together as always, Cat styled the cream Phase Eight skirt with a Zara halterneck top.
While I haven’t tried the skirt myself, the faux leather silhouette looks flattering with its fitted waist and structured pleats, falling just above the ankle.
It’s received positive reviews on the River Island website, with an average rating of five-out-of-five.
One shopper wrote: “This is a beautiful skirt and the fabric feels amazing.
It’s soft and fluid but looks rich and expensive.”
Another added: “Lovely skirt, the material is very soft and it flows nicely.”
Transitional seasons are the most difficult to dress for, but Cat’s skirt could be worn with chunky knitwear and knee-high boots on cold days, switching out to ballet flats and fitted white T-shirts for the warmer months.
Retailing at £119, the midi skirt isn’t cheap, but River Island’s £30 version is strikingly similar.

The high street number has the same faux leather design with a midi cut and elegant pleats.
Finished with an asymmetric hem and an elasticated waist for comfort, the versatile skirt could be worn in just as many ways as the Phase Eight version.
The River Island skirt is reduced from £42 to £30, but it’s already sold out in select sizes.
Cream skirts are set to be a hit for spring, and the luxe-looking appearance will pair well with neutral tones and pastels.
Cat has been nailing her spring outfits this week, presenting Tuesday’s episode of This Morning in an & Other Stories statement blouse with a floral print and pussybow neckline.
The star rounded off the look with a pair of Nadine Merabi white trousers.
& Other Stories and Zara are Cat’s go-to brands, and she wore both on Wednesday.
Channelling smart workwear, the presenter opted for a pair of brown tailored pinstripe trousers with a waist-cinching belt, teamed with a blue Zara shirt and Versace heels.
