Knicks vs. Pistons prediction for Game 2
The Knicks showed the best version of themselves when they finally got over the hump and took control on Saturday as the Pistons’ offense went flat.
Surprisingly, Game 1 was an offensive battle, which went against the prevailing thought that most games in this best-of-7 would be a rock fight.
The Pistons graded out No. 10 in defensive rating through the regular season, while the Knicks came in at No. 12, though they morphed into a top-10 unit after the All-Star Break.

Thibodeau’s group was rated No. 5 in the league in offense this year, but after the All-Star break, it dropped significantly to No. 22.
That’s an insane drop off for the Knicks, and in games where physicality becomes magnified, I’d expect offense to come at a premium tonight.
My model has the Knicks projected to win 114.4 to 107.67, making the total right in line with Caesars’ projection of 221.5.
Still, I’ll take the under here despite the line having not moved from an inch from open.
