These days, it's kind of hard to say which method of movie watching is winning out. If it's a project with huge stars like Hugh Jackman and Ryan Reynolds, people are going to shell out $17 (not including concessions) to watch it on the big screen. But if it's a movie that you must have watched 2 Disney+ series to understand, I get why people would skip going to the theater and make sure they've caught up on all of the lore first. Movies are crazy expensive, and if you're already spending an ungodly amount on Disney+ each month, it's probably worth it to watch new releases two months after they come out.
