Girls Band Cry Will Have Compilation Movies
The Girls Band Cry original anime series will be edited into two compilation movies, reveals a new announcement.
More details will arrive at a later date.
Aside from the compilation films, it was announced that a new concert named 5th ONE-MAN LIVE will be held at PACIFICO YOKOHAMA on February 7, 2025, and that auditions for band members/voice cast members have opened. Those who pass the audition will not only form a band together and debut after a preparatory period, but will also be involved in the Girls Band Cry game as both music performers and voice actors.

The Girls Band Cry anime premiered in Japan on April 5 (effectively April 6 at 12:30 AM JST). It later became available in Indonesia via the CATCHPLAY+ streaming platform and North America via several digital release platforms.
Toei Animation describes the music and youth drama as:
The main character drops out of high school in her second year, and aims at entering a university while working alone in Tokyo. A girl is betrayed by her friends and doesn’t know what to do. Another girl is abandoned by her parents, and tries to survive in the city by doing part-time jobs. This world lets us down all the time. Nothing goes as planned. But we want something that we can continue to like. We believe there’s a place where we belong. That’s why we sing.
The anime is part of a wider project that includes animated music videos, singles, live performances, and merchandise. The members of Girls Band Cry‘s first band, Togenashi Togeari, had no prior professional experience.
