Drake blames Justin Bieber for losing $1 million bet

Grammy-winning rapper Drake slammed Justin Bieber for losing a $1 million bet that he placed on the Toronto Maple Leafs over the weekend.
After the team's blowout loss to the Florida Panthers, the Toronto native, 38, placed the blame on the 31-year-old pop star's presence inside Scotiabank Arena.
In a post, uploaded to his Instagram Story, Drake, 38, pointed the finger at the 'Bieber curse' for causing the Maple Leafs' humiliating 6-1 defeat.
His remark was clearly made in jest as Drake is widely regarded as one of the biggest jinxes in the sports world.
The 'Drake Curse' is a popular theory that any team or athlete he publicly supports or bets on will, ultimately, lose their game or tournament.
Meanwhile, there is also a more lighthearted superstition around Bieber that he tends to cause bad luck for his team when he attends their games.

Justin and Drake have also been friends for more than a decade.

On Sunday, Justin and his wife, Hailey, cheered on his beloved Toronto Maple Leafs in Game 7 of the NHL Eastern Conference Semifinals.
After the game, Justin shared a number of posts from the arena with Hailey, who wore a blue Toronto windbreaker over a black tank top.
'I don’t remember a time in my life when I haven’t been obsessed with the leafsssss,' he captioned a sweet shot of them kissing. 'This year we made it farther than we have in so long and im happy about that.'
He continued: 'I can be patient cuz I know this is the team to do it.'
Justin also snapped a selfie sitting in the front row just behind the players’ bench.

In the comment section, his followers mused that seeing the Sorry hitmaker so excited and 'taking photos of the players like a superfan' the 'cutest.'
'Justin taking pictures with the maple leafs is the equivalent of us fans being obsessed with him,' one joked.
Another joked: 'This is a Canadian heritage moment.'
Others described his behavior as 'patriotic' and speculated 'in another timeline justin bieber was a pro hockey player.'
