Ellen Degeneres & Portia de Rossi’s Latest Bonding Activity Has Reportedly ‘Done Wonders’ Amid Alleged Marital Strain
Remember earlier this year when insiders claimed that Ellen DeGeneres and Portia de Rossi were going through a serious rough patch in their marriage? Well, forget all of that, because apparently, their marriage has done a 180 after doing this activity together, per inside sources.
Both insiders and sources alike recently told InTouch Weekly that the couple has taken up hypnosis, and it’s allegedly “done wonders” for their marriage.
“Ellen’s undergone hypnosis before, and she’s got Portia hooked on it too. They go together, and it’s done wonders for their mental and physical well-being,” the insider said. “Falling into a soothing, half-conscious state is something they look forward to, like taking a nice nap on holiday.”
They added, “It’s reminding them why they fell in love and creating a fresh start by helping them to get over things in the painful past, such as Ellen’s cancellation….They hardly argue anymore, and Ellen’s happier than she’s been in a long while. She can get back to her stand-up routine with confidence and know she’ll have Portia at her back.”

For those who don’t know, DeGeneres and de Rossi started dating in 2004. Four years later, they married in Aug. 2008, at their Beverly Hills home.
Earlier this year, insiders told InTouch Weekly that things were allegedly not great at home.
“Ellen being home all the time has taken a toll on their marriage. And Portia isn’t working much either. They’re always in each other’s face, and frankly, they’re getting on each other’s nerves,” they said to the outlet. “Now Portia probably wishes she hadn’t. She doesn’t have her space. Every time she turns around, there’s Ellen… Ellen has lost so much in recent years — it would be terrible if she lost Portia, too.”
