No Injuries Reported as Boston Fire Department Extinguishes Blaze on Commuter Rail Train at North Station
Flames erupted in a commuter rail train engine yesterday at North Station, sending emergency responders into action to douse the blaze. The Boston Fire Department rushed to the scene at around 1:30 PM after reports of fire on top of the train. Fortunately, no injuries were reported as a result of the incident. Boston Fire's official X account later confirmed, "The fire is out, companies starting to make up."

Workers at the scene quickly addressed the blaze, which appeared to have originated in the train's engine. Passengers and staff were evacuated safely, according to officials, averting what could have been a serious disaster. Working on top of the train for a fire in a commuter rail train engine, the fire was extinguished without further incident.
Transit authority representatives were on hand to assist with the response and to begin looking into the cause of the fire. Commuter rail service faced temporary disruptions while emergency crews handled the scene, but normal operations were expected to resume with minimal delay.
