Abi was mostly paralyzed after a tragic accident. He was bedridden for seven years, leading to severe obesity. The My 600-Lb Life star was also suffering from lymphedema, making it difficult for him to move. However, he still took his chances, following Dr. Now’s strict low-calorie diet. Dr. Now had to make the adjustments and traveled to Austin to meet his patient. Abi was appointed to a certain diet program. By the end of his episode, he had dropped 325 pounds, bringing him down to 403 pounds. But his incredible journey didn’t stop there, and his latest photo indicates that he has succeeded even more behind the camera.

Abi Resurfaces With Shocking Weight Loss Update
Abi Ruiz took to FB last March to share clips and pictures of himself as he attended a comedy show. The My 600-Lb Life star was in a motorized wheelchair. But what caught the attention of many was how slim he has become. Abi has yet to share his current weight, but it seems he’s now somewhere below 300 pounds. He also has braces on his legs, which could be an indication that he’s still dealing with lymphedema and paralysis. Regardless, many fans were impressed by how he was able to transform himself.
