50 Cent shares “wild” first meeting with Eminem

50 Cent has opened up about his “wild” time meeting Eminem for the first time.

While appearing as a guest on the Million Dollaz Worth of Game podcast, the ‘Many Men’ rapper – real name Curtis Jackson – took the time to recall his initial meeting with Eminem – real name Marshall Mathers – after being asked how they ended up collaborating.
50 Cent reminisced that back in 2000, he was invited to Los Angeles to speak with the ‘Without Me’ rapper, without knowing what the purpose was.
“It was wild,” he said. “Remember that show they had, Punk’d on MTV? I thought they had cameras and they was gonna come out and say, ‘You’ve been Punk’d.’ I was in California. He flew me to L.A. I came out, I was so bugged out from the experience that I came through the airport with the (bulletproof) vest and shit on. I’m lucky I took the shock plate out the front of the joint because when I came through it (didn’t go off).”

The ‘In Da Club’ rapper then went on to share how enthusiastic Eminem was upon their initial meeting. “I get there, he’s like, ‘Yo!’ Hugs me, feel the vest and shit and was like (shocked).
“(I said), ‘Yo, this is going to be the biggest shit ever, right?’ He’s like, ‘Yo, so excited.’ It made me question whether what was happening was right. It felt so good that it couldn’t be right. I’m like, ‘Yo, nah.’ When I left that meeting, I didn’t want him to feel like he bought a problem so I wouldn’t say anything about Ja Rule and them.”
He continued: “When I met him, the first night I met him, he had an event. The Marshall Mathers LP just came out. The first week he sold 1.7 million records. And he was so excited about me that I’m looking like, ‘(Are) you serious?'”

Prior to signing with Shady Records, 50 Cent had been dropped from his previous label, Columbia, and was blackballed by the industry. All of the hardship set the scene for his critically acclaimed 2003 debut ‘Get Rich Or Die ryin’.
The two rappers have collaborated with one another numerous times in the subsequent years.
In other news, Eminem and LL Cool J recently shared their first ever collab track ‘Murdergram Deux’ which is featured on the latter’s new album ‘THE FORCE’.
Last month, Donald Trump walked onto an Adin Ross livestream to 50 Cent’s ‘Many Men (Wish Death)’ despite the track’s producer having made his objections to Trump’s use of the track clear.
