Gotta go fast to the new Sonic the Hedgehog Speed Café pop-up opening in Texas this May

When it comes to good food, you don’t want to wait around. Fast food is perhaps the most enduring American tradition there is, so you gotta go fast to get that grub... and no one is faster than the Blue Blur himself, so we’re not surprised to be getting a new Sonic the Hedgehog Speed Café pop-up in just a few weeks.
The pop-up first appeared at San Diego Comic-Con 2023, but this time it is fans in Texas who can be transported to Green Hills for a meal. We’re pretty used to these kinds of pop-ups, which usually just pay minimal lip service to the characters that inspired them, but we’re gonna come out and say that the naming of the menu items at the Sonic the Hedgehog Speed Café is on point and make our little gamer hearts spin with excitement. If you’re near 348 S Mason Road in Katy, Texas, you should check the Sonic the Hedgehog Speed Café out when it opens on May 4, 2024.
You can get a fried chicken Knuckles Sandwich with a side of Golden Ring onion rings and a Team Dark mocha milkshake. Obviously, a Classic Chili Dog is on there, along with a Blue Blur blueberry slush to wash it down with. Everything from the packaging to the decoration is immediately recognizable and exactly as colorful as you’d want from something based on Sonic the Hedgehog.
