Barack Obama releases his March Madness bracket

By JAKE FENNER and JACK BEZANTS

Just hours before March Madness fully gets underway, former President Barack Obama dropped his predictions for the NCAA Tournament with his bracket.

Continuing a tradition he started while he was running the country, Obama has continued to post his brackets each year.

An avid basketball fan, Obama continues to drop his ball knowledge each March as he continues the time-honored tradition of posting a bracket.

This year, the 44th President kept things relatively plain and simple - selecting a final four of three one-seeds - Duke, Auburn, and Florida - along with two-seed Tennessee.

He predicted that Florida and Duke would meet in the national championship and that the Blue Devils would beat the Gators for a sixth title.

In terms of upsets, Obama kept things pretty simple - only picking a pair of 11-over-6 shockers as he believes North Carolina will beat Ole Miss and that VCU will beat BYU.

Obama's repeated public appearances without wife Michelle have led to divorce rumors

Last year, Obama correctly predicted both the men's and women's national champions - as he guessed UConn and South Carolina would win those titles, respectively.

This year's March Madness arrives at a time where there may be some 'madness' in the former President's private life concerning his marriage to wife Michelle Obama.

Michelle and Barack have been married for 32 years but have faced ongoing rumors about their marriage status over the last few months.

Obama was notably alone at Jimmy Carter's state funeral and Donald Trump's inauguration, where Michelle broke tradition by declining to attend.

Recently, he was without her as he took a courtside seat for an NBA game in Los Angeles between the Clippers and the Detroit Pistons.

Instead of heading to the game with his wife, Obama joined Clippers owner Steve Ballmer - a former Microsoft CEO - and his wife, Connie Snyder.

Last October, actress Jennifer Aniston publicly shut down 'absolutely untrue' claims by a US gossip magazine that she and Barack were in a relationship – making Michelle feel 'betrayed.'

The rumor was compounded by the hosts of a popular pop culture podcast Who? Weekly, who claimed that the Obamas were 'living separate lives' while he and Jennifer were having a full-blown affair.
