Not the start the Knicks needed here.
The Celtics are off to yet another hot start, with Derrick White hitting all three of his attempts from beyond the arc to key Boston to a 13-4 run at the start of the game.
Tom Thibodeau pulled the trigger on an early timeout under 3 1/2 minutes into the action.

Knicks stick with same starting lineup in Game 4
By Ethan Sears
The gamesmanship from Tom Thibodeau was just that.
There is no Mitchell Robinson tweak to the Knicks' starting lineup in Game 4 against the Celtics; rather, New York is sticking with the same five-man starting unit that got it to this point: Jalen Brunson, Josh Hart, Mikal Bridges, OG Anunoby and Karl-Anthony Towns.
It had been heavily speculated that Thibodeau might insert Robinson into the lineup as a way of stopping the Celtics from intentionally fouling the big man. By playing him at the start of quarters, the thought was that Robinson -- who has been extremely impactful in the series -- could be off the floor when the Knicks were in the bonus.
That way, there would be little use in intentionally fouling him, as the Celtics have been doing to great effect, with Robinson shooting a horrific 30.4 percent from the free-throw line in the series.
If Thibodeau has a counter to the Hack-a-Mitch, though, it's something else.

Tom Thibodeau coy on whether Mitchell Robinson could start in Game 4
By Ethan Sears
Knicks coach Tom Thibodeau didn't answer directly when asked before Game 4 whether he would change his starting lineup.
"Could be," Thibodeau told reporters.
It's been speculated that the Knicks may insert Mitchell Robinson into the starting lineup to avoid him being on the floor when the team is in the bonus as a way of neutering the "Hack-a-Mitch" strategy the Celtics have employed throughout the series.

The Godfather of “granny” free throws has a proposal for Mitchell Robinson: Let me fix your problem.

Drastic change could help reverse worrying trending for Knicks starters
By Jared Schwartz
The number jumps off the page — in the worst of ways.
It represents a big outlier among the others.
The eye test makes it obvious while watching as well.
The Knicks starters are getting crushed.
When all five starters — Jalen Brunson, Mikal Bridges, OG Anunoby, Josh Hart and Karl-Anthony Towns — are on the court together, they’ve been outscored by 29 points through the first three games of their second-round series against the Celtics.
No other five-man group that has played together in the three games is worse than minus-7.

Mitchell Robinson snaps on haters in Instagram post with free-throw mess haunting Knicks
By Erich Richter
Poor free-throw shooting officially looks to be in Mitchell Robinson’s head.
The Knicks center, who is shooting an embarrassing 29 percent from the free-throw line in nine playoff games, responded to criticism about his woes.
“So, I know y’all commenting and doing all the stupid stuff, thinking that I really care,” Robinson said on an Instagram Live on Sunday morning. “I really don’t. Y’all know what I care about: this motherf—-r [pointing to his truck], playing basketball, and my daughter. All the other stuff, I really don’t care for. … Y’all should know me by now. Been here seven years. … Anyway, Happy Mother’s Day. Y’all enjoy yourselves.”
