The View is no stranger to controversy, and they receive a lot of hate from those who don’t agree with them. One of the hosts who receives tons of hate is Whoopi Goldberg. She is not afraid of making viewers angry by saying whatever she wants. Now, she’s firing back as the hate continues to be thrown her way. What did she say? Keep reading to find out all the details.
The View Whoopi Goldberg And Fellow Hosts Talk About Haters
The View hosts got into a discussion this week over comedian Jimmy Fallon. He appeared on a podcast this week in which he talked about still wanting everyone to like him. Fallon noted that he knows not everyone will be cheering for him to win, and he does still struggle with not having everyone like him.
Sunny Hostin couldn’t believe that Jimmy still struggles with this, even though he is wildly popular. Joy Behar weighed in on how people on the internet are constantly criticizing the hosts of The View.
Hostin asked Whoopi Goldberg if she cares what people think of her. She replied, “No. No, I don’t.” She received loud applause from those in the audience.

Whoopi went on to further clarify her thoughts. She said,
“Because nobody can make me feel worse about myself than I can do to me. I don’t need you, who don’t know me, talking any crap to me, because you don’t know anything. Why am I taking time to be hurt by something you say, when either you don’t listen, or you are choosing to take this the way you want to take it?”
Goldberg went into more discussion, saying that what people believe is what drives them to say the things they say about the hosts.
She Further Discussed The Constant Criticism
The View host, Whoopi Goldberg, went on to discuss the constant hate she and the other hosts receive on a daily basis. She said,
“None of us start out to step in poop. But, we are in poop constantly, because people decide that you’ve said something that you didn’t say. But now you can’t even tell what’s real or what’s not.”
Of course, it seems the ladies of The View often find themselves in hot water when they dive deep into political talk. They all have strong opinions and have no issue voicing exactly what they think.
Joy Behar added to Whoopi’s comments, saying that there are keyboard warriors who like to get hateful in comments on social media. She went a step further and said most of them probably live in their mother’s basement.
The hosts also said they are not looking for validation from their haters. In the end, some have thicker skin than others.
