Jessica Aber, the former US attorney who was found dead in her home earlier this year, died from epilepsy, officials have revealed.
Aber, 43, appointed by President Joe Biden, suffered a “sudden unexpected death in epilepsy” while sleeping at her home in Alexandria, Virginia, in late March, the local medical examiner’s office told the Virginian-Pilot.

Former US Attorney Jessica Aber who was found dead Saturday morning in her Virginia home appeared to have succumbed to natural causes, according to authorities.

Her family said in a statement that she suffered from “epilepsy and epileptic seizures for many years,” according to the Pilot.

Authorities found her dead on the morning of March 22, and the Alexandria Police Department said at the time their detectives “found no evidence suggesting that her death was caused by anything other than natural causes.”
