Kevin Costner Reveals Whether He Would Date This Single Star After Their Chemistry Made Headlines
Kevin Costner might be the most eligible bachelor in Hollywood right now after his divorce from Christine Baumgartner. Now, fans are trying to fix up the 69-year-old actor with this single morning show star after sparks flew between them during a June interview.
It seems that Today‘s departing anchor Hoda Kotb is at the top of everyone’s mind to date the Horizon: An American Saga actor after watching them together earlier this year. Entertainment Tonight asked him about the possibility in a recent virtual interview, and he certainly did not nix the idea.

“Well look, I’m not on a national dating service. I appreciate the goodwill,” Costner admitted. “She’s been great to me. When I go back there … people treat me well. They treat me good. And she’s got a spark, and we’ve never had coffee together.” After reporter Rachel Smith offered to be his wingman and arrange a date between them, he had a rather humorous response.
“Look, you know, I know how to meet girls if I have to,” he quipped. OK, so Costner doesn’t want anyone meddling in his love life and we don’t blame him after his contentious divorce played out publicly, but they would make a cute couple. So how does Kotb feel about this station? She’s not opposed to it either.
On a July 9 appearance of Bravo TV’s Watch What Happens Live, a fan called in to ask about her flirtation with Costner. He questioned the TV personality, “How do you feel about viewers ‘shipping’ you and Kevin Costner after he appeared on Today last month? And have the two of you connected since?”
She quizzically said, “Wait, what?”
“The viewers want the two of you together,” host Andy Cohen added. “Yes, yes, yes, yes.”
Even though Kotb claimed to “have never heard that” comment before, she relented, “Well, if the viewers want it.”
The NBC crew also saw the magic between them and compiled a few meet-cute moments from their interview and showed them to a very embarrassed Kotb. A hair flip, a rub of the arm, and a lingering hug were all part of that Costner flirtation — along with some suggestive music. Will the romantic stars align for these two celebs? Maybe the fans can ship this couple into existence.
