Big secret! Fan theory confirms brutal heartache for Coronation Street’s Steve McDonald

Steve McDonald (Simon Gregson) has had it rough in Coronation Street recently, after wife Tracy Barlow (Kate Ford) left him for former footballer Tommy Orpington (Matt Milburn).
While the betrayal from his lover was bad enough, it seemed that Steve was hit harder by his idol’s actions, and even called for his friends to boycott their favourite football team in retaliation.
Fortunately, Steve hasn’t let this setback stop him from getting back on the horse, and he recently got chatting to a woman called Demi on a dating app.
The future looked uncertain for Steve when Demi stopped replying to him, and he continued on his dating quest with other women.

However, he soon heard from Demi again, and the pair went on a date, where they hit it off straight away.
Just when he thought things couldn’t get any better, Demi revealed that she was a supporter of Weatherfield County, but explained that she couldn’t stand Tommy Orpington.
While this was music to Steve’s ears, fans of the show got the impression that things with Demi may be too good to be true.
Taking to Twitter/X, some fans began to question whether Demi was connected to Tommy in some way.
