Dave Grohl’s Wife Jordyn Blum Is Finding Support From This A-List Actress After Cheating Confession
Dave Grohl’s admission on a Tuesday, Sept. 10 Instagram post that he had a fourth daughter as a result of an affair sent shockwaves through his fanbase. Many people believed he didn’t engage in the stereotypical rockstar behavior because of his 21-year marriage to his wife, Jordyn Blum. While Blum has remained silent about the news, she’s reportedly leaning on her A-list friend for support.
Grohl’s wife is good friends with Kate Hudson, who was “disgusted” to hear about the Foo Fighters frontman’s affair, according to the Daily Mail. “She was surprised and disgusted that at Dave’s age, he’s still cheating on not only Jordyn, but their girls too,” an insider told the U.K. outlet. The couple shares three daughters, Violet, 18, Harper, 15, and Ophelia, 10. Hudson reportedly sent over a “huge basket of balloons with personalized phrases on them including ‘Stay Strong,'” to cheer everyone up.

“Kate told Jordyn she’s there for her 24/7 and not to hesitate to pick up the phone even if it’s for a good cry or if she needs her to come over for a hug and a heart-to-heart,” the source added, “Kate would stay with her in a heartbeat if she asked.” It’s unclear how long the duo has been friends, but Hudson has close ties to the music community, having been married to Black Crowes singer Chris Robinson, formerly engaged to Muse singer Matt Bellamy, and currently engaged to Danny Fujikawa.
Hudson is known to be a ride-or-die friend to pals, including Gwyneth Paltrow and Matthew McConaughey. She told Well + Good in February 2022 why friendships are so important to her, especially after the pandemic. “I think what’s happening, based on the people I’m connected with, is that we’ve all become a little more insular—we all like being in our houses and have found that we’re comfortable there, she explained. “If you’re feeling disconnected, maybe you need to ask yourself if you’re nurturing the right friendships.”
It sounds like Blum is turning to the right friend who can offer her support, especially during such a traumatic time as this plays out in the press. Grohl shared in his social media statement, “I’ve recently become the father of a new baby daughter, born outside of my marriage,” he wrote. “I plan to be a loving and supportive parent to her. I love my wife and my children, and I am doing everything I can to regain their trust and earn their forgiveness. We’re grateful for your consideration toward all the children involved, as we move forward together.” The identity of Grohl’s mistress and mother to his child has not been revealed.
