Musk On If Trump Should Be Impeached: 'Yes'

By Hannah Parry and Dan Gooding
Elon Musk has backed a post calling for President Donald Trump to be impeached amid their fracturing relationship.
The billionaire shared a post on X, formerly Twitter, on Thursday afternoon that stated, "Trump should be impeached and JD Vance should replace him."
"Yes," Musk added, as she shared the post on his own feed.
Why It Matters
The president has faced impeachment before, during his first term in the White House, and Democrats have introduced articles of impeachment against him since January 20, 2025, also.

What To Know
The comment from Musk, on the social media platform he owns, came amid a flurry of posts as he and Trump openly criticized one another, in a public deterioration of a political relationship which appeared strong just weeks ago.
The public spat began on Thursday afternoon after the president told reporters at the White House that he was "disappointed" in Musk's criticisms of his budget reconciliation bill.
Trump later said on his social media platform Truth Social that he did not mind Musk turning against him, but that he should have done so "months ago".
